It's great to be back to school again.

We have started a few new projects.  We are working in Kidspiration to create graphic organizers to use when writing our descriptive writing pieces.  We are also using PowerPoint to create slide shows about the solar system.

No HW club

The class will not have homework over the winter break. Homework club will be cancelled this week.

Winter Concert

The second graders will meet in the cafeteria at 6:15 on Thursday to prepare for the concert.

Clothing

The cold weather has arrived.  Please make sure that your child has a weather appropriate clothing to wear outside on the playground.  You are welcome to send in a pair of snowpants and boots to keep here at school throughout the winter months.  The children will try their best to be responsible for their belongings but we have found that this is the time of year when clothing tends to go missing.  Please make sure to label winter coats, gloves, hats and boots.

We will continue to have outdoor recess throughout the winter.  We will only stay inside when it is raining or when the wind chill is below 20 degrees.
